The purpose of this job is to provide support in the areas of recruiting, onboarding, and strategic HR initiatives. In addition, the purpose of this job is to provide support in the areas of payroll processing, administrative functions, and act as an information resource for employees. This position will also implement, and evaluate ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities.
What you are going to do
Recruiting
- Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants
- Identifies qualified candidates through networking, events and social media
- Affectively advertise positions to increase candidate pool
- Seek, establish and maintain relationships with recruitment sources including colleges, universities, professional networks and associations, and career fairs with the goal of recruiting diverse and qualified team members
Payroll Administration
- Prepares and administer monthly payroll, including all required reporting for approval by supervisors
- Assists employees with pay related issues, questions, and concerns
- Prepares paperwork required to place employee on payroll and establishes personnel file
- Updates all personnel and/or payroll related changes as approved by Director, Human Resources
- Calculate, and track all Leaves of Absence requests, assuring legal requirements are met
Human Resources Administration
- Training of new staff and trouble shooting of employee issues
- Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files
- Assists or prepares correspondence
- Prepares new employee files
- Assists with onboarding training and informational tours of the building for new employees when needed
Other Frequent Duties
- Processes HR mail
- Supports company policies and procedures while adhering to all applicable laws
- Assist with various other questions and issues as need
- Perform other duties as assigned
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree – Human Resource Management or related business degree preferred
- 2 -4 years of Human Resource experience preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Demonstrate attention to detail
- Organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
- Collect, analyze and organize information into a logical and efficient format to support economic and efficiency analyses
- Ensure and maintain confidentiality of personnel data
- Provide suggestions to offer alternative perspectives to situations
- Maintain composure and work under pressure situations
- Possess the following competencies: Initiative, Customer Focus, Commercial Awareness, Continuous Learning, Cooperative Teamwork, and Analytical Problem Solving
- Perform other duties as assigned
